high school tennis hows it work?
im going to be a junior next year im gona try out for the team hows that work say i make 3rd singles or somthing when u face off against other schools is it like a tournemant as long as i dont lose will i keep going on till im the victor or will i have to rely on my team winning to.
I'm going to be junior playing varsity tennis next year too!
I don't know if it works the same in all the high schools, but in area it works like this:
theres a 1, 2, and 3 singles and a 1, 2, and 3 doubles..
#1 single player plays against oppenent schools #1 singles. #2 plays against #2, and #3 plays against #3...
after the three games are done, the home team rotates courts...your #1 plays against their #3, your #2 plays against their #1, and your #3 plays against their #2...
after those three games are done, home team rotates one last time...#1 vs #2, #2 vs #3, #3 vs #1 (home vs away)...
that makes a total of nine games...same process happens with the doubles which makes a total of 18 games played...which ever school gets the most games won wins!!
