how have tennis rackets changed over the years?

i've always been interested in the evolution of tennis rackets. from wooden to like the flashy kfactor generation. did rackets from the old days take more skill to use than today's rackets? also, are older models still better than some of today's (prostaff vs kfactors,etc)

Yes,I personally think raquets from the old days did take alot more skill to use because of the smaller head sizes.If you play tennis today and pick up one of the older wooden raquets,believe me you can feel the difference.With that said,the dynamics and speed of the game have changed so much that we need raquets with the headsizes that we have now in order to correlate with the players fast movement and most of all,powerful shots.
